چکیده

Abstract In recent years the prevalence of diabetes has increased globally and by 2040 number diabetic people been estimated to increase 642 million. Various classes drugs are available treat Type ll diabetes. However, these associated with certain side effects. ?-Glucosidase is an intriquing target enzyme II diabetes, ?-glucosidase inhibitors considered as first-line for patients. Fungi, in general, produce natural products some amazing chemical diversity many fungal metabolites have illustrated a wide range biological pharmacological this review focus on describing effects their potential anti-diabetic agents various isolated from fungi.

Silver nanoparticles, a potential alternative to conventional anti-fungal agents to fungal pathogens affecting crop plants

Metallic silver nanoparticles have been reduced from silver nitrate by employing the extracellular enzymatic machinery of edible White button Mushroom (Agaricus bisporus). The physical properties of these particles, size and shapes have been determined using techniques like TEM, FTIR and XRD and were reported in our earlier report. But, what stands of paramount importance in the presen...

Quinones derived from plant secondary metabolites as anti-cancer agents.

Quinones are plant-derived secondary metabolites that present some anti-proliferation and anti-metastasis effects in various cancer types both in vitro and in vivo. This review focuses on the anti-cancer prospects of plant-derived quinones, namely, aloe-emodin, juglone, β-lapachol, plumbagin, shikonin, and thymoquinone. We intend to summarize their anti-cancer effects and investigate the mechan...

Discovery of substituted isoxazolecarbaldehydes as potent spermicides, acrosin inhibitors and mild anti-fungal agents.

BACKGROUND The continued endeavour to design novel, non-detergent molecules that can be useful as topical, prophylactic contraceptives has led to the discovery of substituted isoxazolecarbaldehydes as a new class of compounds exhibiting both spermicidal and acrosin inhibitory activities simultaneously. METHODS Normal human semen samples were used to detect the spermicidal and acrosin inhibito...

Neuraminidase inhibitors as anti-influenza virus agents.

Influenza virus neuraminidase (NA) catalyses the cleavage of sialic acid residues terminally linked to glycoproteins and glycolipids and plays an important role in the replication of the virus. Recently, several potent NA inhibitors have been synthesized based on the rational design of mimicking the transition state of the sialic acid cleavage. Zanamivir and oseltamivir (GS 4104, the prodrug of...
